INGREDIENT FAQ’s
Here at Good Earth we never use artificial flavouring, that’s a pinky promise! But in the interest of learning you can have a read of the below:
The difference between artificial and natural flavouring is…
Artificial flavour it's when chemical compounds are used to mimic natural flavour.
Natural flavour is when 95-100% of the oil from the named fruit is used. Or it can be with other natural flavours when the oil from the named fruit is used in combination with other natural oils. Or it can be just natural flavour, when there is no oils from the named fruit are used, but instead natural oils from other fruits are used to mimic the named fruit.
NUTRITIONAL QUERIES
We let mother nature do her thing, after all, she does it best! Tea is a natural source of caffeine. Unless specifically stated that the tea within a product is decaffeinated, you should assume that the product contains caffeine.
Pregnancy and motherhood are personal things, with no experience being the same. There is no normal and differences should be celebrated - what might be right for you might not be right for your neighbour! We keep our promise to keep the nasties out and pack the natural in, however, we’d rather be safe than sorry. Therefore, we suggest that you speak to your Doctor or Midwife before trying anything new, including our Good Earth range. After all, what’s best for you is best for your little one! (Congratulations btw!).
Expiry dates are used to ensure safety, taste and quality of the product are as bold and awesome as we intend them to be. Although we doubt you’d fall ill from post-expiry date consumption, we recommend (for this and this only) you live by the rules and not risk it… If you have product that is out of date please make sure you dispose of it following the sustainable instructions!
DIETARY CLAIMS
Yes, yes and an even bigger YES! We are happy to say that all our products are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, because hey, nature looks after us to make sure we look after nature!
PRODUCT ORIGINS
No two ingredients of ours are the same, they each come from a different corner of the earth, picked and grown with love and care - which is one of the many things we love about our teas and kombuchas! If we were to list the origins of each ingredient you would be rather bored reading it… However, we can tell you this much… We source our Green tea from Anxi tea garden which is in Shimen county, Hunan province of China and our Black tea is sourced from specially selected tea estates in India and Kenya.
If you have a question about a specific ingredient please don’t hesitate to get in touch, every day’s a school day!
We made a pinky promise that we vow to keep… Have you seen our long list of certifications?! We’re just starting to make an impact but our goal is to make every sip, a sip that gives back to the planet. All of our ingredients are independently verified to ensure they are sourced in a sustainable and ethical way. Head over to our sustainability page to learn more.
BREWING INSTRUCTIONS
Ah, a question bigger than life itself… A cup of tea is personal to each person, no cup is the same. Some like it sweet, some like it milky, some just take it as it comes. Our Good Earth tea guru’s have recommended how each cup is best brewed to complement our bold and natural flavours. These can be found on the individual product pages on our website, or on the pack itself. However, if your mum’s in a bad mood, we suggest you just follow her instructions…
STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
Kombucha is always best served cold! Therefore, we recommend you keep it chilled in the fridge. Although, if you’ve over shopped and it just won fit, it won’t harm you or the product to leave it on the side until there’s room.
Our tea is best stored in a cool, dry place, preferably in an airtight container (although this doesn’t matter too much). This’ll make sure the flavours are as bold as promised and your tea stays fresh for as long as possible - cheers to that!
